Photoshop

This screen shot shows that I am using the magic pen tool to
crop out the background of the picture

Here shows that I have taken the background out by using
the magic pen tool. I used this tool to make the image
have a more straight, sharper edge whereas if I used the
rubber tool it would look more out of place not as neat.

This shot is showing that I am changing the background colour
from white to yellow by using the bucket tool. I am also using
an gradient tool, this makes the white appear at the top of the
page to give a better effect on the background and also
fades the picture in from the bottom.

Here I have selected the T button which is the text button and
it allows me to add text anywhere on the page.

Water Speakers Presentation (Media Audience Targeting)

As part of my coursework we are doing a presentation on a product of our choice for Mr. Murphy's lesson, the aim of this lesson is to think about the target audience for example; what gender is suitable for the product, the age group, weather the product is going to be for A-B class or C-D class people. Therefore me and Alex Wyld have come up with an idea to create water speakers. Water speakers are just regular speakers with an extra touch. The water speakers work in the same way as regular speakers do by plugging the wire into your phone or computer and selecting music to play, once chosen a piece of music to play the speakers then vibrate which will then cause the water to bounce.

Bauer Media is a sister company of H Bauer Publishing, publisher of the UK's biggest TV listings, Take a Break and Bella. H Bauer entered the UK scene with Bella magazine in 1987. Introducing a new format that mixes previously unseen real life editorial and exciting service features, Bella made a significant impact on the women's market. The company gained attention again in 1990 with the launch of Take a Break magazine. The 1990's saw H Bauer further strengthen its portfolio with the launch of TVQuick in 1991, that's life! In 1995 and TVChoice in 1999. At the beginning of 2008, Bauer expanded its portfolio further by acquiring Emap’s Radio and Consumer Magazine divisions and changed the name of these new UK businesses to Bauer Media. All Bauer Media journalists observe the fundamental ethic rules of their work that are laid down in the Code of Ethics.

Bauer Media’s audience is everyone around the world, although there are certain products sold for different ages groups for example FHM.com is for men they can ether get it online, in a magazine or on a TV channel. Whereas 4music.com is mainly for teenagers it can be used by an older generation but its target audience is teens, they can access it online or watch it on TV. Thus Bauer media’s target audience is everyone around the world no matter how old; what gender, religion, class Bauer media has got something suitable for all.

As a piece of my coursework I have chosen to use this photo to show that The Oldershaw Academy is an friendly environmental school, it also shows our buddy system which is a fellowship organisation which is a group of  elder students meeting younger students to share the same interests; playing chess, reading books, helping with homework etc. Here is one of our year 12 students Abbie Mcgrath helping year 9 student Owen Burns with his English poetry that he has to write about a war time memory, Abbie is showing Owen some good points that Owen could use in his assessment.
