Here I am showing the photos that gave me ideas of how to pose Rachel. I have done a similar image as the original but my photos aren't exactly like the original as the original photos have been photo-shopped professionally and the images have been taken by a professional also.

Costumes

Below are pictures of the clothing my model Rachel will be wearing. These outfits are similar to the pictures I have chosen for myself to give me ideas of how I was going to pose my model.

Location of Photo

The location I have chosen for my 'photoshoot' is my bedroom as I have a white wall which will allow me to easily crop Rachel (my model) out of the photo on to a new canvas on photoshop.

Cosmetics

For my magazine I have prepared some make-up for my model as she is going to be the main image on my front cover and on the double page spread.

Here is the make up I have chosen for my model. I have chosen simple make-up as I am going
for a simple/natural look for her;
Foundation will give my model a flawless look and it will cover any imperfections
such as freckles and spots. The colour of the foundation
is a pale colour but also has a tint in the foundation as we don't
want the model to be looking to white.
I have also got powder that matches the foundation, if we got shades too dark it wouldn't
contrast as well as the one I have got. It also leaves a matt
finish on the person as we don't want that wet look on the face because it is an unappealing
look towards the readers eye.
Bronzer is included to contour the model as we want the shape of  her face to be
more defined because we are going for the natural look.
In the picture I have got a pallet of eye shadows, I am going to be using the
pink and light grey eye shadow to bring out the models eyes
the liquid eyeliner will be used for the same thing and to give it more of a wide eye
shape.
I also put in the picture a pale pink lip gloss this is to give the models lips a bit of colour
and give a tad shine in her lips also.
Eyebrow pencil is also included as we will need to draw her natural eyebrows on
due to the foundation making the models eyebrows appear a different colour.
Although the model will be putting on false eyelashes, that will make her eyelashes appear bigger
in a natural way, we will be using mascara as well only because once we have applied
the foundation and powder the models eyelashes will look white
thus we will need to apply mascara to make them go back to black so they can blend in
with the false eyelashes.
I have also added curling tongs in this picture because I will be making my models hair
wavy for a natural look because that's what I am aiming her look to be.

Typical Reader For My Magazine

For our task we have been given we have to present a profile for a typical reader of my magazine that I am going to produce.


My age of target audience for my magazine will be ages 15-25 as people at this age are into their magazines and also have time to read various types of magazines. I have chosen this age group because they are the younger generation, therefore they have a better taste in different music genres and they also know what is hot in the charts and what isn't.

The gender for my magazine will be both male and female as my magazine will have a variety of stories, music and fashion styles that both female and males can link to throughout the magazine. 

My magazine genre will be various as there are uncountable genres of music getting played everyday. To be more precise the genre will be based on; Pop, R&B, rap, hip-hop, dance etc. as these genres are the main genres of music getting produced day to day. Thus my audience will have to have a music taste that includes any of the genres I have mentioned.

The types of artist and bands that will appear in my magazine will be well known stars such as; Eminem, Kerri Hilson, Ne-Yo, Robin Thicke, Daft Punk, Cold Play etc. as they are well known to the younger generation today.

The social group I am aiming for is the average human being. If they are in to the music genres that my magazine has inside then this magazine is made for them even if they have been grouped into a 'indie', 'chav' or even the 'mosher ' group, that's if they have something in common with my magazine I am going to produce.

Interests that my audience will have are; reading as my magazine will have a lot of gossip about the celebrities and what has gone on in their life so they will have to be interested in magazines or general reading, Tv shows that they will watch or should watch are music programmes such as MTV, Char show, Flava etc, The type of films they watch will be ordinary films such as Dirty Dancing, Bad Boys etc. not High School Musical as the target audience for the film is 5-10 and we're aiming to attract 15-25 year olds. They won't have to be a fashion critic but they will need to be in with the fashion as my magazine will include pages of fashion that is in this season.

Billboard Research - Preparing For The Main Task

For my first task I have been asked to research a music magazine and to find out the target audience is for this magazine, the genre, type of bands that would be in this magazine etc. I have chosen Billboard magazine for this task.

The age target audience for this magazine are people from the age of 16 and above as it is for people who are really into their music. The magazine gives away that it is aimed for the age group 16+ as the text on the front cover is formal and fancy thus people aged under 10 wouldn't really appeal towards this magazine.

The gender for this magazine is for anybody who is interested in their music, as this magazine is for all types of music and different music artist so it can please anybody.

The music genre Bilboard have chosen different types of music genres, such as; Pop, R&B, rap, dance, hip-hop etc. 

Billboad represents a social group that's out going, loves to be around people the love to 'chill' or just 'hang' around with their mates, also for people who love to dance. The text also informs us of what social group this magazine represents, the text is plain and clear easy to read and also formal by this you can tell that they are aiming for people who are simple.

Billboard magazine has a wide distribution. Everywhere there are people talking about this magazine as it holds new songs, gossip about pop stars, inside stories about the pop stars etc.

The types of artist and bands you will see or find in this magazine will most likely be R&B, pop, rap. Eminem, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, T.I etc. would be found or seen in this magazine as they are related to the music genre that this magazine has chosen.

Research for Main Task

For a piece of my work that i have been given is to look at different types of magazines to give me different ideas of how to design my own magazine, below are some of the magazines that I have chosen:

The first magazine I have chosen for my research was the one  with an katy perry image on,
I have picked this one because the age group that I have chosen is related to the
target audience for this magazine
as it links with the age group and genre music that I have chosen
for my magazine. I also like the layout of this magazine
as the text is in line with other pieces of text, it clear to read
big bold writing to catch the readers eye and its not over crowded with cover lines.

Another magazine I have looked at is this billboard one, the reason I have
chosen this one is that I like the house colours as they are
bright, colourful and attracts the younger generation.

Vibe is another one I have chosen as it is also the same age group and genre as
the other magazine and also my magazine. I have chosen this magazine
because I like the way the main image is of Keri Hilson, she is looking right at
the reader also known as mode of address, it has great posture. It is just
a plain simple picture that says a lot to the reader.

I have researched this magazine and it is for the younger age group (10-15) it
does not fit in with my chosen age group but the genre certainly does.
I also looked into the style of the magazine
and it is too overcrowded with cover lines, pictures, quizzes etc.
therefore I will not be taking any ideas from
this magazine as it is not a clean cut style.
