Front Cover

Out of the four front cover I have produced I have chosen to use the one below as my front cover. I have chosen this one as it's my second best I have produced. My best was the fourth one I had created with the Christmas tree in the background, I haven't chosen that one as it looks more like a Christmas magazine more than a music magazine.

Double Page Spread

Below is the double page spread I have created. I have chosen this image of rachel because it can represent a load of different meanings such as feeling free, by that she is naked showing that she has released whatever it is she has been holding onto and she "feels free." I have chosen the colours grey white and blue as grey makes white stand out, white and grey make the blue stand out. the font style I have used for "Rachel Hughes" and "I feel free" is Zapfino as its a very fancy font and suitable for my target audience. I have used a plain font for the article so it is easy and clear to read and understand.

The way I have laid it out shows that Rachel has been interviewed. I have used the blue colour on the font to separate the questions and answers.

Double Page Spread Templates

I have researched different types of double page spread's below are three that I like because they are simple and clear.

This is one of Billboards double page spread's with florence
being the main focus. This double page spread holds a lot of information
about florence giving the reader more information about her.
It has a plain simple clean and clear layout. It is very
eye grabbing as they have used a very dull background because
due to Florence's hair it will make her stand out more and catch the audience's eye.

Top of the pops have used Justin Bieber as there main focus
as he is a well known pop star so that any girl that is a major fan
of him will by this magazine. They have two images a very large
image of Justin and a smaller image of Justin and Selena Gomez.
They have interviewed Justin, you can tell by how the text has been laid
out and how the text colour has changed. They have used a  of
colours red, black and white. They have used the colours red and
black possibly because Justin is wearing those colours and using them
on a white background will make them stand out and catch the audience's eye. 

T.I is the main focus on this double page in the magazine Vibe.
As I have mentioned it holds a lot of information about T.I. They've
used a plain white background to keep it all simple
the image of T.I stands out as its a large image, he is wearing a colourful shirt
and the pose he is doing as its not something you would
normally see.

This photograph was taken on the 6th June 2012 in Liverpool by the Hilton hotel. This picture is full of The Mend fans, The Mend is a boy group that has performed on Britain's got talent. The four lads at the very front of the photo are the boys from the band. I thought this would be a good picture to use as it was suitable for the subject I was giving a brief story about on my contents and as it is a group photograph.

Below is my contents page that I have created. I have used original photographs as backgrounds. I have specifically chosen these photographs as they are more appealing and eye catching to the audience. The red lines are there to split the page, at the moment they are red only because I haven't chosen which front cover I would like to use but when I have finally decided I will change the colour of the lines to match the front cover giving me a house style to the magazine I am producing.

I have chosen a front cover page so I have changed the colour of the contents to the one below. This is my contents page that I am going to use as it has the house style.
